The Days of Vengeance

I must say that the scripture in Luke describing the Days of Vengeance was one I had not studied in quite some time. I recently saw a small quote from Franklin Graham referencing a portion of it, so I went back to study this again. To my surprise my head became filled with images upon review of the concepts involved here. And it should have frightened me but I felt calm. It brought the image of the Lion of Judah into my mind. And I knew there was nothing to fear…

The Time of Great Changes

Days of Vengeance

Awareness is so necessary now. Approaching the time of great changes. A great awakening to the truth is underway. Involving all the secrets which have been kept in the dark places. Exposing all the identities of the dark servants we never knew were plotting and serving the Enemy’s Kingdom. It will be a painful truth to many. Betrayal by those we trusted. Bringing all things into the light.

When the truth is in the open we must not get lost in our own emotion about what has happened. Remember we must stay on the path and know we are here for a greater purpose. It is not about what is fair or what is going on in this world. It is about the salvation of the lost people. For it is about everlasting life through acceptance of the Messiah, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Time for salvation for the nonbelievers is shortening. We must stand up like never before and proclaim truth.

It is not known if the days of Vengeance are underway but we can look at the signs that we are given leading us to the Second Coming. Bring as many as we can with us. We can make sure that we are ready, fill all those lamps with oil…

Days of Vengeance in Scripture

Luke 21:6-28

6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.

13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.

18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Summarizing The Signs

Days of Vengeance

Jesus speaks of false teachers claiming to be the Messiah, and warns us not to be deceived by them. We have been given the truth in scripture do not be deceived by false prophets.

Persecution is foretold. Betrayal by those we love. Our families, our colleagues and our friends. We will be delivered up to Rulers and Kings. Some of the believers will die, some imprisoned and some will be hated in the final times. We must stand on truth without hesitation.

Warnings to ready ourselves and not to meditate on how we will respond. Let the Holy Spirit fill us with God’s Glory and Speak Truth. But God has promised us that though our mortal lives may be forfeit we will not die. We will have eternal life with Him.

When Jerusalem is surrounded by it’s enemies armies we will know that desolation is underway. It is to be a time of great distress and wrath upon the people. Jerusalem will fall by the sword. It’s people led away captives to all Nations. Until fulfillment of the times.

He tells us that we will see Wars, Nation against Nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom. We will experience terrible things on the earth like pestilence, famine, great natural disasters, frightening things and signs from Heaven itself. Signs in the sun, in the moon and in the stars. The seas and the waves roaring. Shaking the powers of heaven. And all will see Jesus, the lion of the tribe of Judah, coming in the clouds with Power and Great Glory. And we are told to look up and lift up our heads for redemption is near…

Revelation 5 (KJV)

5 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
