The Book of Revelation – Part Two

A New “OnFire Cafe” Book Club series in The Study of Scripture. Come Study with us as we present our new Narration Series “The Book of Revelation”. Join us here for Part Two. The Video contains the narration of the Chapters with images for your entertainment. Because of the complexity and the nature of the Book of Revelation I am not attempting an interpretation of the content at this time. However, this would be a great discussion to have, or discussion group to create at some point forward. The series is being uploaded on all the “OnFire Cafe” Channels for easy access.

Part Two

The Prophecy of Seven Seals & Seven Trumpets

Revelation 4 , Revelation 5 , Revelation 6 , Revelation 7 , Revelation 8 , Revelation 9 , Revelation 10 & Revelation 11

Part Two begins the book of Revelation with Chapters 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

The Apostle John is given a prophetic vision from Jesus Christ, guided by an angel. He refers to it as a Revelation from God, and Testimony of Jesus Christ. By his angel to his servant John…

The Apostle John begins by describing heaven opening and he begins his journey into this prophetic vision. He describes his experience in the presence of God and his throne. John describes what he sees as well as what is told to him while he is in the presence of the Seven Spirits of God. He also describes four beasts at the throne giving a description of them as well.

The Descriptions and the Seven Seals

John describes a book with seven seals. Exclaiming that no one could open the book until the Lamb of God came forward and took the book. And heaven rejoiced in the opening of the book by the Lamb. The Angels and beasts at the throne sang and chanted worshiping the Lamb.

The opening of the seals is described with the first four releasing the four horses of the apocalypse as they are known today. The white horse of conquest, the red horse of war, the black horse of justice and the pale horse of death. Each corresponding seal releases another catastrophe to the earth.

Protecting the Servants of God

Then John describes the four angels of the winds at the four corners of the earth sent to hurt the earth and the sea, being halted. God has decreed that the servants of God are marked in their forehead so they can be protected before the unleashing of the seal. He proceeds to list the tribes and the number who are marked by God. He describes a multitude of people before the throne of the Lamb. They are dressed in white robes. They are those that have come out of the tribulation and they are worshiping the Lamb.

The Seven Trumpets

John describes a silence in heaven with the opening of the seventh seal. Then he describes seven angels with seven trumpets each containing a plague. Upon the sounding of the trumpet the disaster is released upon the earth.

Then John overhears something that he is told not to write down. A lion roared and then he overheard the seven thunders. But he is not permitted to write down what he hears. In the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he should begin to sound the mystery of God is finished.

Being given a rod John is instructed to measure the temple, the alter and them that worship within. The power of the two witnesses are described to him. He is told of their death and how they will be resurrected and of their ascension to heaven.

With the sounding of the seventh trumpet the kingdoms of the world become the kingdoms of the Lord and of his Christ. He speaks of the time of the judgement of the dead. He speaks of the temple of God and the ark of his testament.

This concludes our brief summary of the content outlined. However, the descriptions by John are quite vivid and contain multiple revelations. I have not attempted interpretation of the meaning of The Book of Revelation but it is quite thought provoking! I hope you enjoy…
