Fear is A Liar

Zach Williams sings a song called fear is a liar. I absolutely love this title. How many time are we lead to do something for Christ and what is our first reaction. Most times it is “I’m afraid”

Zach  Williams

There is a good and healthy fear. Like if you are standing on a rickety bridge and your gut tells you not to cross. That is a common sense fear.

The fear I am addressing is when you are afraid when you are in no direct danger. This fear is a direct weapon of the enemy. He gets into our head and tries to steal our joy. He tells us the things we have done are so bad that there is no way Jesus would ever forgive us. WRONG that is a bold faced lie. Jesus went to the cross to take on ALL of our sins.

1 John 1:9

We confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. And the coolest thing is He chooses never to remember them again.

Another lie the enemy likes to use is that we were never really saved. Or you were never really saved. WRONG. Yet another lie ,lie, lie.

The enemy is full of lies and fake news

Jesus pretty much spells it out for us:

Romans 10:9-10

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be save

And Gives us the Assurance

Romans 5:9

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

John 10:28

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

You call yourself a Christian? You are not good enough to be saved. WRONG. What a slippery conniving fool the enemy is when tormenting us. But all he has is lies upon lies upon lies.

all lies of the enemy

Ephesians 2:8

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

First YES proudly call yourself a Christian. Christians aren’t sinless. We just try to sin less. Don’t let the enemy steal your joy.

Second being good enough has nothing to do with it, if it did no one would make the cut. Jesus did all that had to be done

Titus 3:5

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost

Romans 3:10

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one

Here is a thought. If the enemy already had you why then is he fighting so hard for your soul?

Just remind him that you are the Child of the living God. Remind him that you are bought with the Blood of the Lamb Remind him that he cannot have any power over you except that which you allow and you allow NONE
Remind him that Greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world

And here is the best one Spoiler Alert. I read the end of the Bible….HE LOSES.

So you see for the most part fear is a liar. The enemy is the father of lies. Don’t buy into them. Best of all if you resist him he has to flee.

James 4:7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.:

Call on Jesus He has you.

God Bless You

1 Corinthians 12:7-11 (KJV)
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
